I decided that Koils By Nature would be the first product that I would try from this month’s Curl Kit. The smell was smoothly Tropical with an under layering of shea butter. Product had a rough and creamy texture to it. I applied the Nourishing Hair and Body Butter to sectioned and damp hair and twisted. I covered my hair with my plastic shower cap and then covered that with my regular satin hair cap. In the morning: My hair was still slightly damp. I unraveled each twist and they immediately starting taking shape. In the process of getting dress, hair became about 90%-95% dry. While en route to work, I continue to fluff my hair. The final results were soft, define curls. Would I Re-Purchase? I would, if the price was much lower. Perhaps, $6.99 to $9.99. I felt that the product is a good product but other than the shea and mango/tropical fragrance, I felt that the product was comparable to other shelf or on-line butters that you can by in the above-noted price range.

Here is my review for Curl Kit’s July 2013 subscription box. This month’s box had a make-over. The box is white with the Curl Kit logo scrolled across it. It was a pleasant surprise and a nice touch and a diversion from the grey box, which I also like.

I tried this custard this morning, August 5, 2013 and was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t glide on like the regular Eco Styler gel but product was creamy and easy to apply. In approximately an hour to an hour and half my hair was dried. What I loved most about the custard, was that it did not leave my hair plastered to my head! Hair was not crunchy, and I was able to easily fluff for more volume. This is a keeper!

Smooth Naturally Curly Pudding Crème keeps your curls looking and feeling luscious. Curly Pudding Crème adds shine, moisture, bounce and strength to your natural curl pattern all through the day. Curly Pudding Crème puts the fabulous in your curls. I could not find a price for the item since their products are sold through distribution. I haven’t tried this product yet but I did open it and found a very light to faint fragrance of melon. Product is very creamy and smooth.
After trying the Eco Styler Argan Oil Custard, I have decided that I would not purchase the product after I finish using it up or pass it along to my natural-haired co-worker. Even though the crunch is controllablem, and those who know me well know that I don’t mind the crunch, I just did not find the product moisturizing enough for me. By the second day, I was spritzing my hair mid-day at work with plain water. I also found that it did not add the shine that I was accustomed to with other styling products.
I feel that the product could be much better with a tweaking of additional conditioner and added nourishing oils.

Amazon.com sells the 8 fl. ounce of the Curl Keeper for $14.78. The biggest complaint about this product is that most people do not like the smell and causes the hair to dry hard. The consistency of the product is watery but does contain the frizz and helps your tresses to clump better instead of giving you that Ramen Noodle look!

I was very impressed with this next product! It smell nice, fruity. Texture was smooth and applied easily. Over all reviews on the web was good. Looking forward to purchasing a full-sized container of this product.
Smelled fresh and inviting. Not into spritzers but am looking forward to giving this product a try as a style refresher. I do like the smell of mint and the sample bottle is easy to carry in my pocketbook to refresh my tresses during the day!
Personally, I’m not a regular gel person. I do like Eco’s Olive Oil Gel but I prefer a natural gel or use my flaxseed gel. Since these are in packets, I’ll be taking them to work and leaving in my desk drawer for those bad hair days emergencies at work! LOL!

This Curl kit box was filled and lid would not completely close. I did try the As I Am Coconut Wash, which was a full-size product. It is a keeper. Loved the smell, the consistency, and the way it applied. However, the set back is that the product needs a pump to make it easier to use in the shower. It should be offered with a pump or it may be worth the investment of purchasing a pump for the jar if you plan to make the item a staple.
The soap bar smells great and I look forward to using it along with the Pooka scrubs which smells so good that I just like opening the jar to smell it.
